 How honest are you? I mean for real. Do you tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth, so help you God? Or do you embellish or glorify it? Maybe you water it down? Maybe you bite your tongue in order to not experience discomfort or difficulty.... Any reason that you dont share the truth, or be honest, with yourself or another, you are in denial. Baha'u'llah (Founder of the Bahai Faith) says that "Truthfulness is the foundation for all human virtues". If you can't be honest with yourself, then you are defeated. I remember when I use to lie my butt off. Every word out of my mouth was slightly false, to the extent that I didn't remember heads from tails, and my own story got convoluted. Am I alone or have you ever been there? Dont answer because you will most likely lie. I had talked with about 10 people in the last month that have dealt with some of the most vile acts in the world. Dealing with betrayal, lies, adultery, infidelity (emotional and physical), secrecy, and much much more. If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. ~Mark Twain People lie because of a fear of loss. They fear losing the person that they are with and try to avoid the pain, reckoning, remorse and shame of their actions. Some people have no consciousness or morals, or the function of the spirit is so dead, it's malfunctions totally. Some people lie because of a medical illness or disease. Some people lie because they like it. Some illumined souls are honest. Honesty does not mean being tactless, or mean, or counter dependent, or brash or just being an asshole. It is more than that. It is being true. Being you. Accepting yourself. Being emotionally mature, intellectually accountable, and spiritually aware of yourself, your expression, and being aligned with truth.
