Kore Issues Talk Show - Bahai Culture Part 1: Different Walk: Same Destination

Bahai Culture: Different Walks: Same DestinationHello Loved Ones,

I am so sorry that it has been awhile since I have posted on my own blog.  I am in the middle of writing a few books, taking care of a gang of kids, living a spiritual existence and trying to do it all with excellence, thus I found no time to blog or to do anything that did not excite me at that time.  But I missed this, so I am starting it back up again.  Thank you for your support and love.

This show is so potent and relevant for me right now, and I would wager that it is the main topic that the whole world is dealing with right now.  You will have to read below, or listen to the show to see how I weave it all together.  Please feel free to call into the show live to share your thoughts, stories or examples.

(573) 443-8255 is the number to call between 5-6pm (Central Standard Time)

Introduction by Asha Perera and read by Tyree Byndom: Many Paths: One Destination

1st Wave: Facts and Statistics
What is Culture?  Click on the link for the basic definition.
My best definition is how we think, act and feel.

What is Bahai Culture?  Click on the link for the full version.
The short answer is alignment with everything good thing that is sent down in the books, lore, and scriptures for the betterment of society, the family unit, and our collective soul.

My current definition is the journey of each soul, from where ever souls come from, into the womb, into the tomb, and our escape from the senses.

Relevant statistics:
There are exactly (click here for up to date number) humans on Earth at this moment and probably 105 Billions souls in the afterlife that have experienced Earth as we are now, and have moved on to Heaven, Hell or nothingness, depending on your belief system.  I will share my perspective on this topic.

2nd Wave: Personal Experience
Last Saturday night between 11:30pm and 2am, I did an interview with my good friend Oak Ritchie from South Carolina.  He does a Vlog called "Boppin with Oak".  He is a deep brother and I am honored to know him and call him friend.  It is one of the first times that I have been on the interviewee side of things in awhile.  I shared this very topic with him.  Hopefully he will call in to share his perspective as well.

I am trying to get this gentleman to be my guest.  We will see what happens.  He is real deep.  The name is Ron Price.  Check out his website and see what I mean for yourself.

Spoken Word of the Week: Walk This Way by Kozmos

3rd Wave: The Word of God

The Golden Rule, expressed in the teachings of many religions
Baha'i Faith
“Blessed is he who preferreth his brother before himself.”
…Baha'u'llah, Tablets of Baha'u'llah, 71…

Buddhism
“Hurt not others in ways that you
yourself would find hurtful.”
…Udana-Varga,5:18…

Christianity
“All things whatsoever ye would that men
should do to you, do ye even so to them.”
…Matthew 7:12…

Hinduism
“This is the sum of duty: do naught unto others
which would cause you pain if done to you.”
…Mahabharata 5:1517…

Islam
“No one of you is a believer until he desires for
his brother that which he desires for himself”.
…Sunnah…

Judaism
“What is hateful to you, do not to your fellow man.
That is the law: all the rest is commentary”
…Talmud, Shabbat 31a

Zoroastrianism
“That nature only is good when it shall not do unto
another whatever is not good for its own self.”
…Dadistan-i-Dinik, 94:5…

The Purpose of the one true God, exalted be His glory, in revealing Himself unto men is to lay bare those gems that lie hidden within the mine of their true and inmost selves. That the divers communions of the earth, and the manifold systems of religious belief, should never be allowed to foster the feelings of animosity among men, is, in this Day, of the essence of the Faith of God and His Religion.

These principles and laws, these firmly-established and mighty systems, have proceeded from one Source, and are the rays of one Light. That they differ one from another is to be attributed to the varying requirements of the ages in which they were promulgated.

Gird up the loins of your endeavor, O people of Baha, that haply the tumult of religious dissension and strife that agitateth the peoples of the earth may be stilled, that every trace of it may be completely obliterated. For the love of God, and them that serve Him, arise to aid this most sublime and momentous Revelation.

Religious fanaticism and hatred are a world-devouring fire, whose violence none can quench. The Hand of Divine power can, alone, deliver mankind from this desolating affliction....The utterance of God is a lamp, whose light is these words: Ye are the fruits of one tree, and the leaves of one branch. Deal ye one with another with the utmost love and harmony, with friendliness and fellowship. He Who is the Day Star of Truth beareth Me witness!

So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth. The one true God, He Who knoweth all things, Himself testifieth to the truth of these words.Exert yourselves that ye may attain this transcendent and most sublime station, the station that can ensure the protection and security of all mankind. This goal excelleth every other goal, and this aspiration is the monarch of all aspirations. So long, however, as the thick clouds of oppression, which obscure the day star of justice, remain undispelled, it would be difficult for the glory of this station to be unveiled to men's eyes....

Consort with all men, O people of Baha, in a spirit of friendliness and fellowship. If ye be aware of a certain truth, if ye possess a jewel, of which others are deprived, share it with them in a language of utmost kindliness and good-will. If it be accepted, if it fulfil its purpose, your object is attained. If any one should refuse it, leave him unto himself, and beseech God to guide him. Beware lest ye deal unkindly with him. A kindly tongue is the lodestone of the hearts of men. It is the bread of the spirit, it clotheth the words with meaning, it is the fountain of the light of wisdom and understanding....

Man is the supreme Talisman. Lack of a proper education hath, however, deprived him of that which he doth inherently possess. Through a word proceeding out of the  mouth of God he was called into being; by one word more he was guided to recognize the Source of his education; by yet another word his station and destiny were safeguarded. The Great Being saith: Regard man as a mine rich in gems of inestimable value. Education can, alone, cause it to reveal its treasures, and enable mankind to benefit therefrom. If any man were to meditate on that which the Scriptures, sent down from the heaven of God’s holy Will, have revealed, he would readily recognize that their purpose is that all men shall be regarded as one soul, so that the seal bearing the words ‘The Kingdom shall be God’s’ may be stamped on every heart, and the light of Divine bounty, of grace, and mercy may envelop all mankind. The One true God, exalted be His glory, hath wished nothing for Himself. The allegiance of mankind profiteth Him not, neither doth its perversity harm Him. The Bird of the Realm of Utterance voiceth continually this call: ‘All things have I willed for thee, and thee, too, for thine own sake.’ If the learned and worldly-wise men of this age were to allow mankind to inhale the fragrance of fellowship and love, every understanding heart would apprehend the meaning of true liberty, and discover the secret of undisturbed peace and absolute composure. Were the earth to attain this station and be illumined with its light it could then be truly said of it: ‘Thou shall see in it no hollows or rising hills.’

Closing Statements
I share all of this for you.  Most of what I share will come from off of the top of the dome, as most of my fellow Emcee's say.  I normally freestyle my shows, and since it is a live call in format, I might spend the whole time conversing, sharing perspective and getting deep.  Thanks for reading this far.  You are a special soul.
